Colin O'Neil is Director of Public Policy & Social Impact at Bowery Farming, the Modern Farming Company on a mission to reimagine farming from the ground up. Bowery is the largest vertical farming company in the United States, serving more than 1,000 grocery stores and major e-commerce platforms. In his role, Colin oversees Bowery's public policy and stakeholder engagement strategies and works with a number of cross-functional teams to broaden Bowery’s social impact, drive Bowery's sustainability initiatives and increase awareness of the benefits of controlled environment agriculture. Previously, O'Neil spent 14 years working for environmental NGOs, and most recently, served as Legislative Director for the Environmental Working Group where he worked with partners to create successful legislation related to agricultural conservation, climate change and agriculture, regulation of toxic chemicals, food labeling and federal appropriations.
